Who we are
Voyael is a travel guide written by a small team in East Java, Indonesia. These terms apply to everything on this site.
Travel information changes
We research every guide carefully, date it, and show when its facts were last checked. Still, prices, opening hours, rules, routes and conditions on the ground change, sometimes overnight. Volcano access, ferry schedules and park rules in particular can change without notice.
Treat our guides as a starting point. Before you travel, confirm what matters to you with the official source, and follow the instructions of local authorities, park rangers and guides. You are responsible for your own decisions and safety on the road.
Bookings with other companies
When you book through a link on this site, your contract is with that company (a tour operator, hotel, transport company, insurer or booking platform), under its terms. We are not a party to that booking and cannot change, refund or guarantee it.
If you ask us to put you in touch with a local partner (a driver, guide or homestay), the partner is an independent business. We introduce you only with your agreement; any arrangement is between you and them.

Some links earn us a commission. The affiliate disclosure explains how, and how it does not affect what we recommend.
Our content
The writing, structure and design of this site belong to Voyael. You may quote short passages with a link to the page. Photos by others are credited under the picture with their licence; follow that licence if you reuse them. Please do not copy whole guides or republish them as your own.
Search engines and AI assistants are welcome to read and cite the site; when they quote us, we ask that they link to the page.
Using the site fairly
Do not try to break into the site or its admin, overload it, or use its forms to send spam. We may block traffic that does.
Links to other sites
We link to official sources, booking sites and other pages we find useful. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Limits of our responsibility
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from relying on information that has changed, from bookings with other companies, or from events outside our control. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law of the country where you live that cannot be limited.

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Indonesia.
